Audience Targeting

As a retailer, you can monetize your data through audience targeting. Audience targeting is designed for advertisers looking to reach a specific type of shopper. Criteo offers different types of audience targeting as follows:

Automated Audience

Automated Audiences for offsite campaigns help you unlock revenue opportunities by allowing brands to use your full site audiences for targeting.

For brands, this helps them automatically identify retailer site visitors who are most likely to purchase products from specific product categories or their brands.

The feature leverages Criteo AI/ML to compute and refine the audience for brands to find likely purchasers automatically.

Contact List Segment

Advertisers can target users with laser focus using segments within your contact list. This is achieved by leveraging your CRM data, which includes website visits, app usage, email addresses, and even in-store purchases. These segments can be used for both Onsite and Offsite campaigns.

Additionally, specifically for Offsite campaigns, third-party data segments can be built using external data from a platform. Contact Lists can be activated through the Audience Builder in the Commerce Yield Retail Platform. To learn more about contact lists capabilities, please see Contact Lists.

Events Segment

Events segment is a targeted audience based on user behaviors and actions, such as purchases, and interactions with specific categories, brands, or price ranges on your website or app. By focusing on users who have already shown interest, advertisers can create more precise and effective marketing campaigns.
These segments can be used for both Onsite and Offsite ads. Similar to contact list segments, brands can activate event segments individually or combine them with logic operators for even more specific targeting. To learn more about how to create an event segment, please see Event Segments.

As a retailer you can share these audiences directly with advertisers, unlocking expanded targeting possibilities and fostering collaboration.
