What are Custom Reports?

Custom Reports allow to generate complex or large reports without waiting for them to load immediately. Instead of processing the report within your browser session, the platform generates it as a background job.

These reports give complete control over how the data is structured and delivered. Unlike standard reports, it lets you build your own dataset by choosing exactly which metrics, dimensions, and filters you want to include. This means every report can be tailored to your specific goals - whether you're analyzing performance, comparing trends, or pulling detailed breakdowns.

This flexibility makes Custom Reports a fully customizable, user‑driven reporting experience and ensures:

  • More reliable reporting for all users.

  • Reduced timeouts and loading delays.

  • Smooth performance, even for large datasets.

How to generate a Custom Report?

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab under the Demand side of your dashboard and click on Custom Reports.

  2. Click on +New Report.

  3. Select the dimensions, metrics, filters, and date range.

  4. Click Submit.

Your report will begin processing in the background. Once submitted, your report will display one of the following statuses:

  • Queued - Waiting to begin processing

  • In Progress - Currently being generated

  • Completed - Ready to view or download

  • Failed - Unable to generate (if applicable)

FAQs

How will I know when my report is ready?

To see the latest status of your Custom Report, you must click the refresh button or reload the page.

Why did my report fail?

Reports may fail if:

  • The dataset is too large.

  • A selected field is invalid.

  • There’s a temporary system issue.

Try reducing the date range or filters, then resubmit. If it still fails, please contact our customer support team.

Can I leave the page while the report is generating?

Yes! Reports continue to process even if you move to another section, close your browser, or log out.

Can I download my report in different formats?

Yes, reports can be downloaded as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, and this can only be selected when the report is being built, not after it's generated.

Do I need to regenerate the same report later?

Custom reports get deleted after 7 days. Within that period, you can regenerate the report if the underlying data has changed. Otherwise, you can reuse the same download.
